It’s the little things
Maybe today didn’t go how you expected. There may be more that you’re dealing with than you can voice in the moment. Maybe the day went well and you’re eagerly looking forward to what the week holds next. However the day progressed, take a moment tonight to be still.
Take a moment to breathe. To release. To be present in this moment. Maybe, in the moments between one inhale and the next, there’s something to be uncovered. Solutions. Freedom. Joy. Peace. All of the little things that have no value but are undeniably priceless.
The cup of coffee in the midst of the stillness.
The ease that comes through from hearing your favorite song.
Rest in the midnight hour.
The scripture Jeremiah 29:13 states “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”
It’s natural to look for the big breakthroughs. We want to see the walls fall and we desire to see our prayers answered by an almighty God. But to seek the peace of God in the little things is the beginning. These moments, though small are also mighty and hold His power.
To seek Him in the little things is to acknowledge that despite all that is happening around you, good and bad - He is God. Intentionally create the place of unconventional worship you can worship in daily. Release the weight and reset your heart to praise. In the midst of every circumstance, seek the little things.
Seek Him and you will find all that you need.
