Devotional 89: You Can Do It
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” - Matthew 19:26 KJV
God is able to do what he said he would do. He is a promise keeper. He is not a man that he should lie nor the son of man that he should change his mind. If God said it then he's going to do it. You can consider it done. It is the presence of temporary situations that are beyond your control that constantly weigh you down enough for you to stop believing that God is able. You start leaning to your own understanding and doing all that you can to make it work.
It is in these situations, that you reach the end of your strength and wonder if you can finish it. If you are wondering whether or not you can make it, then you have stopped leaning toward God and started leaning toward your own understanding. God never intended for us to walk this journey alone. Your journey on earth was never meant to be a solitary existence. Your life was always meant to be a walk with God.
To you, to those around you, and to society as a whole - It may very well be impossible. However, when God brings you to it, he gives you the grace to do it. With God, all things are possible. The words of Jesus in Matthew 19:26 were spoken to disciples who were perplexed. They wondered at his words concerning pushing a camel through the eye of a needle being easier than a rich man getting into the Kingdom of Heaven.
During that time, wealth and material gain were associated with being blessed by God. The wisdom of the time could not account for the heart of a man and the faith that was required to walk with Jesus. The disciples wondered then who could be saved? This is when Jesus beholds them and says “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Likewise, the wisdom of this time may cause you to wonder if what you’re believing God for is impossible. You may begin to doubt yourself in the process. You may begin to question whether or not you're making the right decision by moving forward. The idle and faithless words of those around you may be working against your faith. In that case, remember to speak life and to only believe.

23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
The key to finishing is not only to know that you can do it but to know that you’re not doing it alone. You’re doing it with God.
